pentatonic scales and jazz chords

Here are two short recordings of an exercise that I worked up playing pentatonic scales on jazz chords, going through the cycle of fifths.

The first is in major, the second minor.

The concept is that by taking the notes of an extended jazz chord and removing the bass and fifth, you wind up with a pentatonic scale.

They sound a bit dorky, but the concept is good.
